THE CHALLENGE:

The owner asked me to create branding that fit their modernized view, looking to stand out from the standard pasta experience. Bold colors and eye catching images which would represent their unique approach to pasta.

THE APPROACH:

After a full discovery phase, I created a visual branding that reflects an oppositional view of  the traditional Italian Nonna and can be used in endless applications. The process of the pasta making was the underlying inspiration for the brand—from the colorful doughs, patterns, to the unconventional pasta shapes. A vibrant color palette was influenced directly from the natural food colors used in her kitchen. The segmented woman takes inspiration from the layering process itself, a process were the chef creates multiple dimensions of flavor and color within her pasta doughs.

THE OUTPUT:

Saturated, bright color palette to invoke freshness and sustainability. Black and white photos that are starkly juxtaposed with graphic elements. Using a segmentation aesthetic to draw the viewer into the depth of the chefs creative process.
